MVINTAGE - SIĠILL

Is-Siġill collection comes to life from a join collaboration between Mvintage and the Notarial Archives Foundation. The typography and designs of the manuscripts are what inspired this collection. Each pendant is unique and is designed to reflect a wax seal. The letters are also uniquely designed to serve as a reminder to its wearer and their ‘seal’ is authentic and truly theirs.

STEPHANIE BORG - IL-KAFE'

Two coffee blends by Stephanie Borg were inspired by our documents at the Notarial Registers Archive.

TA’ VASSALLI and TAL-KURSARI.

ALEX ATTARD - PARALLEL EXISTENCES

This is a novel book where photography, art and history interlace to weave a new tapestry held together by a common thread: the ‘fragments’ found at the Notarial Archives in Valletta. At the heart of this volume is the artistic photography of Alex Attard. Through the photographer’s lens, a number of manuscripts – in particular a series of contorted manuscripts, witnesses to the ravages of time, nature and human complacency, which apparently had no immediate purpose because of their lamentable condition – suddenly found purpose.

MEDIACOOP - SKRITT

Skritt was a TV programme that presents to the audience a story from the Notarial Archives. It ran on Television Malta for five seasons. Each episode has a duration of 5 minutes. The aim of Skritt is to bring the Notarial Registers Archives collection to a wide audience and to educate the public on Malta’s rich history in an entertaining manner.

SAZ MIFSUD - CIMELIO

“Cimelio”, the Italian word for heirloom, captures the essence of this collection. Saz ventured into Malta’s most ancient notarial archives, unearthing a trove of exquisite calligraphy, illuminated manuscripts, marbled paper, and maritime maps from the 15th century. She gathered fragments of these historical treasures, weaving them into delicate collages that celebrate the past. The result is a collection of silken heirlooms, designed to be cherished, adorned, and passed down through generations.
